REQUIREMENTS:
1. One year custodial experience preferred

JOB GOALS:
- To assist in the servicing, cleaning and maintenance of district equipment, building areas and grounds to maintain a sanitary, orderly and attractive condition conducive and safe for learning for events district wide: athletic competitions, performances, and other events as assigned by the supervisor.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Implement the policies of the Board of Education.

- Maintain an acceptable standard of personal appearance.
- Follow established procedures and schedules for the cleaning of the facilities and and grounds.
- Assist in custodial services to all school facilities and and grounds.
- Perform a variety of custodial duties, including but not limited to: cleaning walls, floors, ceilings, windows, toilets, urinals, showers, sinks, cots, furniture, trash cans, doors, vents, pictures, baseboards, lightfixtures, water fountains, televisions, bookcases, tables, desks, cabinets, drapes, blinds, telephones, custodial equipment or other items, as directed.
- Assist in the shampooing of carpets, stripping and refinishing of floors, as directed.
- Maintain all work areas in a safe and sanitary standard as required by the school district.
- Use chemical products only as directed by manufacturer.
- Attend meetings and training classes, as directed.
- Assist in the use ofa variety oftools and equipment and operate them in a safe and proper manner.
- Assist in the preventive, corrective, and emergency work on a wide variety of structures and systems.
- Maintain records as needed to provide documentation of all work performed.
- Close all buildings each day, determining before leaving that all doors and windows are secure and that all lights (except safety lights) are turned off.
- Make requests of supplies to head custodian/maintenance.
- Monitor the event calendar and work with the supervisor to coordinate services and duty times.
- Assume responsibility for tasks other than those listed which may be assigned by a supervisor.
- Hours are flexible and range from part to full-time.
