Plan, organize, and conduct practices and games
Teach fundamental basketball skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship
Promote a positive culture focused on effort, accountability, and growth
Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and team events
Communicate effectively with players, parents, administration, and staff
Coordinate with high school coaching staff to align program development
Ensure compliance with school and athletic policies
Assist with equipment management and program organization
Qualifications:
Previous coaching experience preferred (basketball or related sport)
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to build positive relationships with middle school students
Knowledge of the game and commitment to player development
Must meet all district and state coaching requirements (background check, certifications, etc.)
Preferred Qualities:
Passion for working with middle school athletes
Commitment to multi-sport participation and overall student development
