Osage County R-II School District is looking for full/part time environmental technicians to aid in the timely completion of summer projects throughout the district. Qualified applicants will have some experience in general maintenance and the ability to complete physical/entry level skilled tasks like painting, landscaping/grounds keeping, fencing, light maintenance and custodial work. We are looking for applicants that are able to work independently and within team environments; strong work ethic and responsible employee behaviors are appreciated. This is a great opportunity for students on summer vacation or adults looking for extra income.
JOB GOALS:
- To assist in summer projects in a wide variety of areas and tasks including: painting, facility maintenance and cleaning, servicing, cleaning and maintenance of district equipment, and grounds to maintain a sanitary, orderly and attractive condition conducive and safe for learning.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Communicate appropriately with supervisors, other employees, students, and

- Maintain an acceptable standard of personal appearance.
- Follow established procedures and schedules for the cleaning/maintenance of the facilities and grounds.
- At times, the position could include a variety of custodial duties.
- Assist in the shampooing of carpets, stripping and refinishing of floors, as directed.
- Maintain all work areas in a safe and sanitary standard as required by the school district.
- Attend meetings and training classes, as directed.
- Assist in the use of a variety of tools and equipment while operating them in a safe and proper manner when directed.
- Maintain records as needed to provide documentation of all work performed.
- Make requests of supplies to supervisor.
- Assume responsibility for tasks other than those listed which may be assigned by a supervisor.
- Lift objects from the floor weighing at least 50 pounds.
